Water Hyacinth in Cabang Empat Channel Cleaned

As much as 15 PPSU officers from Marunda Urban Village, North Jakarta cleans the Cabang Empat connecting channel from water hyacinth and wild grass.

Marunda Urban Village Head, Hilda Damayanti said the channel has two meters width with four branches that connect with two urban villages, namely Marunda and Rorotan that empties into Blencong River.

And this time, one of channels in Marunda that passes 4 RWs is already strewn with water hyacinth and weeds as well as garbage. No wonder, the water cannot flow smoothly.

"Hence, we are in normalization project. I send PPSU to clean the channel," she told, Friday (5/20).

This is very important, she continued, because of unpredictable weather, it could smoothen water flow and residential that passed by the channel can be free from puddle.

"If the channel was clean from water hyacinth, the water would flow smoothly," she uttered.
